Volunteer Program Mission The Kenaitze Indian Tribe is committed to providing an unparalleled level of service and support to the Kahtnuht'ana Dena'ina Community. To achieve this goal, the tribe seeks to recruit and maintain a volunteer pool of dynamic and dedicated community members who are willing to devote their time to assist the tribe in providing exemplary services. Wellness Opportunity The Kenaitze Indian Tribe currently offers volunteer placement in the following programs: The Wellness Program The Wellness Volunteer will be assisting Wellness staff with putting arts and crafts kits together each month. Kits go to the Dena'ina Wellness Center (DWC) front desk, Na'ini Social Services, and are used for Monday arts and crafts at DWC, and Tuesday/Wednesday arts and crafts at Elders. Summertime volunteering may include assisting Wellness staff with facilitating arts and crafts activities with youth in our Education program or our Behavioral Health School-Based Summer program. Hours will be determined based on volunteers' availability. Volunteer Requirements All volunteers must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and TB test.
